This year has been the first full year spent in our brand new custom-built workshop facility at Farling Top, Cowling, and what a difference it has made.
The new workshop was constructed on a 5,000 sq ft plot adjacent to the old workshop, providing a much larger facility that has made it easier to work on large-scale projects. The move has been hugely beneficial to the company, allowing us to increase productivity.
We’ve been able to undertake more in-house work, with engineers working on multiple projects in the same facility, such as the ongoing restoration of two steam boilers, alongside the turnkey construction of a modern containerised boiler room.
Managing Director Alasdair McEwen says the new 2,500 sq ft facility is proving a huge success: “When I took over the business 10 years ago the thought of a new workshop was a pipe dream. However, through significant amounts of hard work and determination by our dedicated workforce and the loyal and continuing support of our customers, we have turned the lights on to another chapter in our development.”
“We’re handling larger projects, have improved operating efficiencies, and equally importantly, created a much better working environment for the staff.”
