Ten Year Overhaul
Of Planet's Replica Boiler For The Museum Of Science And
Industry.
Work
commences on the boiler. A Full N.D.T was carried
out aswell as a Hydrulic test. Some extensive welding
repairs were undertaken before the boiler was fully
retubed and returned to Manchester Museum.
Here
the Boiler has been remounted into the frames and
the re-lagging has commenced, been carried out here
by Paul Tucker. The Wooden Cladding was then added
and Planet was returned to full working order.
